Following the fall of Kabul in 2021 and the takeover by the DFA authorities, we launched an urgent appeal to provide immediate support to vulnerable individuals and families. The focus was mainly on delivering cash assistance, enabling people to meet their basic needs. With a total of €25,000, we succesfully supported over 500 families and individuals.
During the harsh winter months in 2021, we launched the Afghanistan Winter Project to provide cash assistance support to the most vulnerable families in Kabul areas. The project was part of our emergency appeal after the fall of Kabul in August 2021 and was focused on helping the most vulnerable families as soon as possible surviving the freezing temperatures but also one of the biggest humanitarian crises in the country after the return of the current authorities. With a total of €7500+, we succesfully brought warmth and relief to hundreds of families struggling during one of the most challenging times in the country.
